GIANLUCA

Licensed environmental guide, he chose to move to Vivo d’Orcia after a long experience in the city. He prefers direct relationships with the public and is particularly loved by children.

His open-air tours are designed to cross places with great landscape impact, and perfect for taking unforgettable photos.

Inside Parco Vivo in the village of Vivo d’Orcia, on Monte Amiata, the Water Path winds its way which starts from the Ermicciolo Source and continues for approximately 3 km.
Along the route you can make numerous detours to visit sites of notable historical and naturalistic value. The route is inserted in a broader context, as a branch of the “Mount Amiata Ring”, the longest and best known in the mountains between the provinces of Siena and Grosseto, among majestic beech, chestnut and fir forests.

The Vivo stream flows from the Ermicciolo springs to the Hermitage where, starting from the Middle Ages, mills, paper mills, ironworks were built and, in the 1920s, a first power station that exploited water energy. Traces of these ancient buildings are still visible, covered by vines, along all the trekking routes.
