This short 3.5 kilometer tour retraces the fundamental stages in the history of Bagno Vignoni, which have always characterized its landscape and its development. A small village of Etruscan origin, it owes its fortune to the thermal waters that flow from the large pool in the main square, fed by the ancient volcano Monte Amiata. From here the waters are channeled following a path that, over the centuries, has unraveled in open-air pools, until it feeds a Parco dei Mulini that can still be visited today. The tour also includes a visit to the old travertine quarries, which were exploited until more recent times.
