Piazza Nuova, 1 – Monticchiello

A few kilometers from Monticchiello, you will have the opportunity to visit a typical mill of the Val d’Orcia and witness the grinding of the flour and the production of the traditional bronze-drawn pasta. The family-run Mulino Val d’Orcia company in Spedaletto has been producing organically since 1992 and has passed down ancient knowledge and respect for our land for generations. Once the visit is over, we will wait for you in Monticchiello to enjoy a unique culinary experience. You will be able to cook the famous pici of the local tradition with us, testing yourself in the preparation of the condiments, then tasting the delicacies that have been prepared, with a complete typically Tuscan menu.

The Cooking class package includes:

  • guided tour of the Mulino Val d’Orcia (Transport excluded. If you want to travel with our Minivan, ask for a personalized quote in the form below)
  • Cooking class: preparation of pici and condiments such as “aglione” the typical Val d’Orcia condiment with tomato and garlic, crumbs directly from the poorest peasant tradition, and cacio e pepe with a more intense flavour. Our chefs will tell you the secrets of traditional recipes and will put you to the test by making you work with your “hands on”. At the end you will be able to taste the dish you have prepared and you will be the “judge” of yourself!
  • lunch or dinner with what has been cooked, 3 courses including drinks
